ORIGINS
NŌLA has come a long way since its early days as a small family business. Handcrafted in New Zealand, NŌLA is rooted in sustainability, craftsmanship, and sensory storytelling. Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using eco-conscious soy wax and premium fragrance oils for a clean, slow burn.
ETHICS & EFFORTS
Beyond our low waste initiatives in our workshop and environmental focus, we go beyond and offset our carbon emissions. We have chosen to do so because regardless of how hard we try to be an eco-friendly business, there are unavoidable costs on Earth that many businesses refuse to acknowledge. Offsetting our carbon emissions as a small business encourages the shift towards businesses taking accountability and acting in more sustainable ways. If every business (big and small) did this, imagine!
PRODUCTS
We have chosen natural plant based soy wax; free from paraffin, GMO and unnatural additives which is not only a long, clean-burning candle but environmentally friendly choice. We work exclusively with phthalate-free formulated oils & all of our ingredients are vegan and cruelty-free. We work tirelessly to create premium products at an affordable price.
For us, lighting a candle is a ritualistic way to end a stressful day and create a relaxing safe space. So, we wanted to offer this ambience from a small, local and ethical business - without costing an arm & a leg! We also create reed diffusers and beautiful room sprays.
